Patricia Davidson, DCN, RD,CDE
Patricia Davidson is a Registered Dietitian (R.D.) and Certified Diabetes Educator (C.D.E.) and has been a member of The Cardiovascular Care Group since 2002. She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Nutrition at Southern Illinois University, a Masters of Science Degree at Virginia Tech, and a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She maintains a full time practice where she is also a diabetes educator and group leader at the Regional Diabetes Center at St. Clare’s Hospital. Dr. Davidson is also an adjunct faculty member at NYU and Montclair State University and has over 25 years experience in the care and treatment of patients with diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. She has extensive experience in the growing field of Bariatric Surgery and has evaluated and counseled over 900 patients for surgeons throughout New Jersey.
Her numerous publications and presentations cover topics such as diabetes, diabetes management, peripheral vascular disease, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease, psychotropic medications and metabolic syndrome, obesity and sleep patterns and early detection of breast and prostate cancers. She has also served as an evidence analyst and workgroup leader for the American Dietetic Association (ADA) evidence analysis library for developing nutritional guidelines in Bariatric Surgery, Lipid Management, Heart Failure, HIV/AIDs, and Pre-diabetes
